CELC celebrates anniversary with spotlight on flax pioneers
The Confederation of European Flax and Hemp (CELC) celebrated a decade of its technical team by hosting an event to celebrate “flax pioneers”.

CELC’s Technical Section has worked to convert the growing interest in green materials into market share.

The result is the commercialisation of a broad range of semi-finished products, pre-pregs and technical textiles with European Flax certification.

Flax’s low density, vibration damping and impact resistance have meant it has been blended with various materials to make helmets, skis and surfboards.

Companies CELC highlighted as pioneers include BComp, Dehondt - Flax Technic, Lineo and TLD Technique.
