Dow unveils Intellifresh branding programme

Dow Microbial Control, a division of The Dow Chemical Company, has launched a new global branding and marketing programme to let consumers know that the products they purchase have built-in odour protection and long-lasting freshness.

The company said that the new brand, Intellifresh, will feature on products by a variety of manufacturers and across a range of categories. These include socks, underwear, sports apparel and footwear.

Products carrying the Intellifresh label will be treated with Dow’s patented Silvadur technology, which combats odour-causing bacteria. This allows a garment to stay fresher for longer. Sportswear group Russell Brands and performance baselayer manufacturer ColdPruf are among the brands to already use Silvadur technology in their products.


“The Intellifresh label will give consumers peace of mind that the products they are buying support their attitudes, expectations and perceptions about hygiene and fit the lifestyles they are striving to achieve,” said Karel Williams, brand manager for Dow Microbial Control.
