Unifi opens new Repreve bottle processing centre

Yarn manufacturer Unifi celebrated the official opening of a new bottle processing centre for its Repreve recycled yarn product on September 9, following an investment of almost $30 million. The new facility, which is in Reidsville, North Carolina, will mean the addition of almost 90 new jobs.

The recycling centre has the capacity to produce an annual total of almost 3.5 million tonnes of what Unifi has referred to as “the highest-quality, consistent, clean bottle flake” for producing recycled
