Footwear group Deckers Brands reported revenue of $485.9 million in the second quarter of the 2016/2017 financial year, a fall of 0.2% year-on-year.

“We are pleased with the results of our second quarter and the progress on our plans for the year,” said Dave Powers, who took over from Angel Martínez as CEO of Deckers in June 2016. He described the current consumer environment as “challenging".

Sales of the Ugg brand decreased 2.1% to $412.2 million and revenue from the Teva brand was down 4.2% to $17.1 million. Its Sanuk brand performed better, banking a 9.2% increase in sales to $18.9 million.

Domestic sales in the quarter increased 3.6% to $312.2 million but international sales fell 6.3% to $173.7 million.
