Schoeller to show off heatable soft-shell material at Techtextil

31/03/2017
As well as its new Hydro_Bot active membrane technology, Swiss textile developer Schoeller is preparing to demonstrate at Techtextil in May a new heatable soft-shell material.

Schoeller has said this material is another example of the benefits of its collaborative working approach with fabric manufacturer Eschler, which Schoeller acquired in 2012.

It describes the new material as an “innovative laminate, structured like a conventional soft-shell with corkshell technology”. It can be produced for sale by the metre. It has a heatable backing  manufactured by Eschler. Specially incorporated conductive yarns enable uniform heat distribution. The material can also be dyed and washed.

Techtextil takes place in Frankfurt from May 9-12.
