Apparel and footwear group VF has announced that the company’s chief information officer, Martin Schneider, is to retire at the end of 2017.

“Martin led VF’s Global Business Technology organisation for more than 11 years, a period of tremendous business growth for VF and transformational change in retail through the rise of e-commerce and mobile shopping,” said Scott Roe, vice president and chief financial officer at VF.

Mr Schneider will be succeeded by Sandra Harris, who currently serves as VF’s vice president of Global Business Technology. She has been at the company for eight years in various capacities, including chief financial officer and head of global supply chain.
