VF names new head of international division

The current head of VF International, Karl Heinz Salzburger, is to retire from the role at the end of March next year. He will become a special advisor to the CEO and will focus on ensuring a successful transition to his successor.
Steve Rendle, VF COO, paid tribute to Mr Salzburger’s “extraordinary leadership skills”, describing him as the driving force of the group’s global expansion. He said that during his nine years in charge, Mr Salzburger oversaw a more than doubling of VF’s international business.
Mr O’Meara has headed VF’s Asia-Pacific department since 2007. During that time, he has helped establish a presence in China and seven other countries in the region.
