VF innovation recognised at Edison Awards
Denim jeans brand Lee, owned by VF Corporation, was the winner of a Bronze prize at the Edison Awards for its JadeFusion denim which is designed for the Asian climate.
First conferred in 1987, the awards honour the best in innovation and excellence in the development of new products and services. Lee was recognised for its jeans which feature jade gemstones combined with treated cotton to regulate temperature, increase moisture wicking and dry quicker than traditional denim.
“Our corporate innovation team collaborated with our Lee brand and a global network of universities, labs and mills to research and develop the JadeFusion line, ultimately addressing the consumer pain point of denim discomfort in hot, humid climates,” said Stephen Dull, VF’s vice president of strategy & innovation.
