Strong Q2 leads Columbia to record first half revenue

US sportswear brand Columbia achieved revenue of $924.7 million in the first half of 2017, a 3% increase compared to the same period of 2016. This figure also represented its best ever first half sales. 

It came after a record second quarter, in which it recorded net sales of $398.9 million. This was 3% higher than in the second quarter of 2016. 

During the quarter, net sales in the US grew 4%, while there was also a 14% increase in sales in the Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA) region. 

Revenue from Columbia’s apparel, accessories and equipment division was up 3%, and there was a 3% increase in footwear sales.
