Columbia to outfit rangers at UK National Parks
US sportswear brand Columbia has signed a five-year deal as the official supplier of rangers and staff at National Parks across the UK. The brand said this is a “first of its kind partnership”.

It will outfit more than 2,000 National Park staff over the next five years, including 300 rangers. It will offer them several of its performance garments, including the OutDry Extreme Eco Jacket, a high-performance environmentally-friendly rain jacket made from recycled plastic. It uses no Perflourinated compounds (PFCs), as well as a fabric that isn’t dyed in order to save water.  

Andy Barker, general manager for the UK and Ireland at Columbia, explained: “At Columbia, our mission is to help people enjoy the outdoors longer. That’s why we consider it our responsibility to be conscientious stewards of our shared environment. Becoming a partner of the UK’s National Parks is an unrivalled opportunity to highlight the amazing work conducted by rangers and staff.”
