Deckers “meaningfully exceeds expectations” in third quarter

05/02/2018
Footwear group Deckers has reported net sales of $810.5 million for the third quarter of the 2017/18 financial year (ended December 31), an improvement of 6.6% compared to the same period of the previous year.

The Hoka One One Brand, which has been a star performer for Deckers during its recent struggles, saw its net sales increase 65.7% to $31.8 million during the quarter.

Sales of Ugg brand products increased 4.3%, Teva brand sales were up 33.4% and there was flat performance from the Sanuk brand.

“Our third quarter results, which meaningfully exceeded expectations, underscore the progress we have made developing a stronger foundation to support profitable growth,” said Dave Powers, Deckers president and CEO. “Our refined product strategies, enhanced consumer messaging and wholesale account optimisation efforts resulted in much stronger full price selling for our brand portfolio during the key holiday season.”
