Fusalp secures fresh investment

The new investors are a mix of family holding companies and private individuals. They include Elie Kouby and Frédéric Biousse, the French founders of private equity firm Experienced Capital; and the holding company operated by the family of Nicolas Houzé, owner of the Galeries Lafayette department store group.
Fusalp has said this fresh investment will allow it to strengthen in Asia and North America, where is sees “considerable potential”.
The majority of Fusalp remains in the hands of Sophie Lacoste, Philippe Lacoste and Alexandre Fauvet, who took control of the company in 2014. Together, they own 84% of the business.
Siblings Sophie Lacoste and Philippe Lacoste are members of the family behind the Lacoste sports brand, while Mr Fauvet is a former managing director of Lacoste.
