Mammut brings the mountains to the street

The Inspired by Eiger collection, to be released for the autumn-winter 2018/19 season, is, as the name would suggest, inspired by Mammut’s Eiger Extreme products, which it has been developing since 1995.
The brand has said the Eiger Extreme range has around 25,000 working hours of innovation behind it and has been tailored to the requirements of the “most demanding mountain athletes”.
“The mountaineering expertise is a significant inspiration and influence in the development of the Inspired by Eiger collection,” Mammut said. “Highly functional materials and technologies ensure optimum freedom of movement, not only on the mountain just like in everyday life, and offers excellent protection from cold, wet weather conditions.”
Products in the collection include the Alvra HS Hooded Parka for women. It features Mammut’s three-layer DRYtechnology Pro material, which provides protection from rain and wind. It is designed to be easily combined with other Mammut products for extra protection in cooler temperatures.
The Alvra ML Pull for men also features. The main material used in this product is Schoeller’s Climayarn, a blend of merino wool and polypropylene. A seamless mid-layer, it is created using Mammut’s Phase Map technology, which combines various materials into a single fabric to increase comfort.
