Coloreel launches thread colouring unit in Paris
Swedish textile technology developer Coloreel has described the presentation of its instant thread colouring unit at the Avantex fashion fair in Paris (September 17-20) as a “big milestone” for the company.

It said the product, as well as Coloreel’s colorisation software, received an “overwhelming reception” at the event, with more than 1,000 visitors to the Coloreel stand. They included embroidery producers, designers and apparel manufacturers,

The thread coloring unit is the first product to be launched based on Coloreel’s technology that enables high quality, instant colouring of textile thread. Coloreel has said that by instantly coloring a white base thread, the technology offers complete freedom to create unique embroideries without any limitations in the use of colours. The base technology can be used in industrial embroidery, sewing, knitting and weaving, according to the company.

“Finally, after many years and so much hard work, we have now launched our first product. The market response is exceptional and it’s very inspiring that people came to Paris from all over the world just to meet with us,” said Joakim Staberg, founder of Coloreel.

For his part, CEO Mattias Nordin said Coloreel would “truly revolutionise the whole embroidery industry”.

Having already secured a number of distribution partners in Europe, shipping of the Coloreel units to customers in this region will start at the beginning of 2019. It plans to expand its customer base to the US market after that.
