Interactive maps trace VF’s supply chain footprint
Apparel and footwear group VF has launched a new feature on the sustainability section of its website that allows customers to trace the supply chain footprint of iconic products from 10 of its brands.

It has compiled a number of interactive maps that display the number and location of the company’s suppliers. Users are able to zoom in on each supplier to see onsite inspections, verifications and associate interviews.

The maps can be accessed here. The products to have one include Napapijri’s Rainforest Anorak, The North Face’s Denali 2 Jacket, Timberland’s Earthkeepers boots and Vans’ Checkerboard Slip-On shoes.

“Consumers today want to do business with companies who are committed to social responsibility,” said Shanel Orton, VF’s traceability manager. “We want to know with certainty, too. This provides increased confidence that our practices are consistent with VF’s principles.”
