VF completes acquisition of Altra brand

Outdoor group VF has announced it has completed the previously announced acquisition of road, trail and lifestyle brand Altra.

This deal was agreed in March.

VF is purchasing Altra from exercise equipment brand Icon Health & Fitness Inc. It becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of VF. The terms of the deal were not revealed. 

In a statement, VF said: “The Altra brand provides VF with a unique and differentiated technical footwear brand and a capability that when applied across VF’s outdoor footwear, direct-to-consumer and international platforms, will serve as a catalyst for growth within the outdoor and performance segment.”
