VF announces Smartwool and TNF reshuffle

28/06/2018
Apparel and footwear group VF Corporation has appointed Travis Campbell to the position of general manager of the Americas for its The North Face brand.

As a result, he will leave his role as president of Smartwool, another VF-owned brand. His replacement is Jennifer McLaren, formerly Smartwool’s chief financial officer (CFO).

In his new position, Mr Campbell will be responsible for leading The North Face’s vision in the Americas. He will also be responsible for establishing the brand’s leadership team in the region. VF has paid tribute to his “deep experience in the outdoor industry” as well as to his “personal passion for the outdoors”.

For her part, Ms McLaren joined VF in 2011 when it acquired the Smartwool and Timberland brands. At that time, she was Timberland’s CFO for North America, but took on the role of Smartwool CFO following the acquisition.

VF has described her as a “multi-dimensional leader” and said she has deep knowledge of the Smartwool brand.
