Change of leadership for Converse brand

Nike-owned footwear and sportswear brand Converse has appointed former Coca-Cola executive G. Scott Uzzell as its new president and CEO. He will take over on January 22. 

His most recent position at The Coca-Cola Company was president of the company’s Venturing and Emerging Brands (VEB) group. He was experience identifying and developing a range of brands. 

“Scott’s unique blend of experience driving both strategic business growth and strong brand development is well-suited to help unlock the full potential of the Converse brand and lead its next phase of growth globally,” said Michael Spillane, president of categories and product at Nike.
