The new companies it will work with during this period are Mammut, Zanier, Lagoped and ON.
Sympatex has said it helped Swiss outdoor brand Mammut bring the first laser-welded down jacket to the market. The brand’s Photics Hs Thermo Hooded Jacket, which relies on a two-layer Sympatex laminate, has received an ISPO Award. Mammut’s Laser Fuse Technology keeps the Sympatex shell completely sealed and waterproof.
Mountaineering product specialist Lagoped was recognised with an ISPO Gold Award for a ski combination made from 100% recycled materials. The membrane used is made from Sympatex pre-consumer recycled content, material which would have otherwise been wasted.
Austria-based glove specialist Zanier has incorporated recycled membranes from Sympatex into its new models for the coming season. This includes the Revolution.XSX, made from high quality goat leather, and the Evolution.XSX, which features PrimaLoft insulation along with a Sympatex membrane.
The final new partner is Swiss running specialist ON, which introduced its first waterproof Sympatex running jacket during ISPO. The lightweight model is made from a sustainable three-layer laminate manufactured with a climate-neutral, recyclable Sympatex membrane. It will be available for the autumn-winter 2019/2020 season.
