Unifi CEO steps down with immediate effect

US yarn manufacturer Unifi has announced that Kevin Hall has stepped down as CEO and company director. It said his departure had been mutually agreed to by the company and that his decision was effective immediately.

The board of directors has named Albert Carey as executive chairman, effective April 1, and Thomas Caudle as principal executive officer, effective immediately. 

Making the announcement, the board of directors said: “We are grateful to Kevin for his service and leadership of Unifi over the past two years. We thank Kevin for his contributions, hard work and dedication, and wish him the best in his future endeavours.”

For his part, Mr Carey described Unifi as a “fundamentally strong company with great business opportunities and tremendous talent”. He added that the company has “tremendous” potential for growth.
