Denim brand Mufti to expand footprint in India
02/12/2019
Speaking to local media, Mufti managing director Kamal Khushlani said the company had experienced 11% year-on-year growth in the first six months of this fiscal year, closely aligning with Mufti’s 12% annual growth target set for FY20.
Plans include adding 25 new stores in towns such as Junagarh, Rai Bareily, Sundarnagar, Ferozepur and Chandrapur.
Because of the growing interest they’re seeing in new markets, Mr Khushlani was quoted saying, the new stores will not be only in Tier 1 cities (highly-commercialised metropolises) or Tier-2 towns (population approximately one million), but also in Tier-3 places, which are smaller cities with a population of less than a million.
The brand is also looking at building larger stores and increasing the size of its flagship stores to be between 1,500 and 1,700 square feet.
