New appointment will help make Canada Goose footwear a reality

Outdoor brand Canada Goose has appointed Adam Meek to the new role of general manager for footwear and accessories. Mr Meek has previously held leadership positions at Sperry, Nike and Pentland Brands and has more than 10 years’ experience of the outdoor footwear industry.

Chief executive, Dani Reiss, said on making the announcement that the brand now had “all of the pillars in place” for its business, that it had “a long-term vision for footwear” and that Mr Meek would help it bring this vision to life.

He said: “Bringing Adam on board is a key part of making Canada Goose footwear a reality, which we are committed to executing in the right way, at the right time.” 

For his part, Adam Meek said: “As a brand that’s synonymous with authenticity and whose function-first products are developed with purpose, I believe Canada Goose has an incredible opportunity in footwear and I’m excited to join the team and help define and develop this category in a way that no other brand has before.”
