Hemp fabric added to Ventile’s sustainability range
Performance fabrics brand Ventile Fabrics has released a new line of densely woven material made with hemp fibres and organic cotton.
Ventile Eco Hemp, according to the company, brings together organic cotton warp with a hemp fibre weft, resulting in a breathable and water-resistant blend that’s 68% organic cotton and 32% hemp fibre.
Manufactured by Swiss company Stotz & Co, the hemp fabric is part of Ventile’s recently-launched sustainable range.
Production of the hemp fabric begins, the company said, with small-batch farming of the Sativa plant, which is grown for textile production with its low THC content and extra-long fibres.
