Ventile launches fifth fabric in 12 months

It uses 100% recycled cotton fibres and is spun to create an Oxford weave that comprises of over 40 strands per/cm warp.
The weave gives it good water repellence, according to the company, and has been tested to 500 hydrostatic head, making it suitable for outerwear and overcoats.
The density of the fabric means the colouration process is achievable by only a select number of dye houses and has been developed to a backdrop of stringent controls.
Ventile marketing manager Daniel Odermatt said: “It is a very exciting time for the Ventile brand. In a year when we announced unprecedented growth of our Eco range, we can now also say that we have grown the number of fabrics available in the collection.”
In 2006, Ventile produced its first eco fabric, Ventile L24 Organic. The range now comprises 14 fabrics and accounts for half of sales.
