ISPO Munich 2021 to be “hybrid” event
ISPO Munich 2021 will be held with a new hybrid concept to reach the largest-possible international audience, according to organisers Messe München.
Planned for January 31 to February 3, the event will be held both in-person and online around the world. Representatives from European markets are more likely to attend the in-person event, while digitalisation will enable an international audience to participate.
Organisers also said this year will debut the “digital integration of end consumers”. That means end consumers will get to experience what has long been only for a B2B audience.
“With the help of presentations, workshops and master classes, the brands and companies will have an opportunity to make digital presentations to sports and outdoor fans around the world and speak directly to them,” according to Messe München. The in-person event will continue to be B2B only.
Messe München said it worked out with the Bavarian government on a comprehensive safety and hygiene plan, and that the safety of exhibitors and visitors will be the highest priority. “Exhibitors will have more flexibility as a result of the extension of deadlines and flexible cancellation terms,” organisers said. “If needed, pre-built booths may be used in order to cost-effectively and efficiently participate in the trade fair.”
