More than 60% of the polyester adidas uses this year will be recycled
Sports group adidas has said that more than 60% of its products will be made from sustainable materials in 2021.
More than 60% of all the polyester adidas consumes in the course of 2021 will be recycled. From 2024 onwards, it has said that all of the polyester it uses will be recycled.
Also, its aim is to increase to 17 million pairs the volume of shoes using recycled plastic ocean waste that it makes with Parley for the Oceans; in 2020, it made 15 million pairs.
It will also use a plant-based material, developed from mycelium, in footwear for the first time in 2021.
