Adidas and designer Yohji Yamamoto’s sportswear line Y-3 has reportedly released “chapter one” of its “Tsuyu” (meaning rainy season)-themed SS21 collection. 

As the rainy season in Japan falls during the summer months, the collection of clothing and accessories features lightweight Gore-Tex waterproofing materials throughout, along with sealed seams.

Mr Yamamoto’s renowned avant-garde approach is particularly present in the design of the collection’s parka, in particular, which is decidedly more poncho-like (and therefore completely encases the wearer in Gore-Tex).  

The collection is rounded out by Y-3’s latest footwear offerings, which consist of monochromatic updates to the Y-3 Shiku Run, Orisan and Hicho trainers.
