As Reebok returns to growth, adidas mulls its future

German sportswear group Adidas is considering selling Reebok as part of a five-year strategy that will be announced in March.

Adidas bought Reebok in 2006. Following a turnaround plan it called ‘Muscle Up' in 2016, Reebok returned to growth in 2019.

Last year, Reebok sales increased 2%, driven by double-digit growth in North America.

Adidas said: “Adidas has begun to assess strategic alternatives for Reebok. These strategic alternatives include both a potential sale of Reebok as well as Reebok remaining a part of the company.”
