Adidas claims strong recovery despite sales dip
In terms of the brands, adidas sales were down 2%, while Reebok revenues declined 7%.
Its ecommerce sales were more than 50% higher than in the same quarter in 2019.
More than 90% of the company’s stores were open, most of which had been closed for several weeks during the second quarter.
Traffic in the stores was below last year but conversion rates were higher “as consumers had a clearer buying intent”.
Adidas CEO Kasper Rorsted said: “We saw a strong recovery in our business in Q3.
"We kept costs under control and delivered a profit improvement of more than €1.1 billion compared with Q2.”
