Garmon Chemicals names new president

San Marino-headquartered Garmon Chemicals, a fashion- and denim-focused chemicals manufacturer owned by Kemin Textile Auxiliaries, has announced that Valter Dompè (pictured) was recently appointed to the role of president at the company.

Mr Dompè has been serving in his new role since January 1, when he replaced Kimberly Nelson, a third-generation member of the Nelson family (the Nelsons founded Kemin Textile Auxiliaries’ parent, Kemin Industries, in the mid-twentieth century and it remains a family owned and operated business).

He has joined Garmon Chemicals after moving over from Kemin Food Technologies (Europe, Middle East and Africa), where he had worked since 2015 following around 25 years in sales, marketing, operations, personnel and finance management for L’Oréal.

“I’m ready and excited for this new challenge in textile auxiliaries, which merges strong technical requirements with a great attention to the fashion and style side,” Mr Dompè commented. “Thanks to the experience achieved in both areas during my career, I’m ready to contribute to reaching Kemin Textile Auxiliaries’ ambitious goals.”

Ms Nelson, who left to become general manager of the Kemin Nutrisurance division in North America, stated that she believed the future of Garmon Chemicals “is in very, very good hands” following Mr Dompè’s appointment.
