Osprey focuses on materials for reduced impact
21/01/2022
By shifting to recycled materials, Osprey estimates it is reducing its impact by 30-40% compared with using virgin materials.
Around a third of buckles will be made from a renewable bio-based methane alternative.
Mark Galbraith, Osprey’s vice-president of product, said: “We are putting the same energy and effort that we put towards Osprey product development into examining our entire supply chain with the ultimate goal of having the lowest impact on the environment and the people who make our products.”
The company is now a Bluesign Systems Partner - 70% of all main body materials will be Bluesign approved by autumn 2022, with a target of 90% in 2023.
