Asics chooses mesh for lightest running shoe

The upper’s soft mesh and flexible midfoot panel make the shoe more breathable and comfortable during long runs, said the company, and a knitted tongue construction wraps the foot with a softer and more supportive feel.
Asics Lite rubber outsole material, which is lighter and stronger than standard outsole materials, helps improve its durability and abrasion resistance.
Tomohiro Nagasue, general manager of performance running, said the addition of the FF Blast Plus technology allows the wearer to move even more seamlessly and effortlessly.
