Pentland in search for new charity partner
British sports and outdoor group Pentland Brands is seeking submissions for a new charity partner to help progress its “people and planet” initiatives, as part of its new 100-1-0 Positive Business plan.
In line with this strategy, Pentland hopes to become a net zero business, “improve the lives” of 1 million people in linked communities and help 100 million consumers “live positive, active, sustainable lifestyles” by 2032, its centenary year.
The group is therefore hoping to team up on charity projects specifically geared towards the following three areas: inspiring young people to become more active, empowering disadvantaged communities and reducing its environmental impact.
Director of the company’s Positive Business division, Sara Brennan, emphasised how Pentland donated 1% of its profits to charity and more than 100,000 products to people in need in 2021. It also supported 8,920 people in 11 locations around the world.
Ms Brennan added that by expanding its existing charity network (which has previously included childhood obesity charity SportInspired and the British Council, among others) by onboarding a new partner, the business will be able to help more residents of the communities in which it operates.
Interested parties may access the application form and additional details via this webpage. Applications close on March 11.
