Barbour and CP Company team up for charity
As part of the ongoing celebrations surrounding the anniversary of its founding 50 years ago (known in Italian as the firm’s “cinquanta”), which include an exhibition of its archives, Italian apparel brand CP Company has partnered British outerwear firm Barbour to reimagine the former’s Mille jacket in a limited edition of 24 pieces.

First designed in 1988, the Massimo Osti-designed Mille is often described as “the goggle jacket”, for its signature goggles incorporated into the hood.

Dual-branded elements feature throughout in this latest iteration, including a red “cinquanta” tab on the chest pocket and Barbour’s recognisable check lining, waxed cotton and corduroy collar. According to CP, the jackets took shape as a result of the two companies’ “shared knowledge of specialist technologies”.

Only six jackets per overdyed colourway – orange, khaki, black and yellow – have been made, which can only be attained via a raffle (open for entries until September 12), with all proceeds to go to international conservation charity World Land Trust.
