Canada Goose revenues more than double in Q1
Toronto-based outerwear brand Canada Goose recently released its first quarter (Q1) results for fiscal 2022.
Revenues for the quarter totalled C$56.3 million (around $45 million), just over double that of the same period last year, which amounted to C$26.1 million or roughly $20.8 million.
At a global level, e-commerce revenue increased by 80.8%, whereas direct-to-consumer revenue in mainland China, the brand’s best performer in this vertical, surged 188.7%.
Canada Goose said that revenues increased significantly in all geographic locations. Sales in its home nation were boosted by 126.1% on the comparative quarter.
President and chief executive, Dani Reiss, commented that the company was off to a “great start” in Q1. “With strong momentum in a less disrupted operating environment and an exciting product pipeline - including our growing apparel business and footwear launch later this fall - we are well positioned for fiscal 2022,” he added.
Canada Goose publicly committed to a “future without fur” back in late June.
