Brrr introduces cationic dyed polyester yarn

Cooling yarn maker Brrr has developed a cationic dyed (CD) polyester yarn that can be single dyed or double dyed to achieve a heathered or solid look for increased flexibility in design.

The yarn can be piece dyed or yarn dyed, is spun in Taiwan and can be used in knit or woven fabrics.

Founded in 2014 and based in Atlanta, the company says its patented technology offers a "triple chill effect" thanks to a combination of natural minerals, active wicking and rapid drying.

Mary-Cathryn Kolb, founder and CEO of Brrr, said: “Our first cationic dyed polyester yarn allows for a diverse product offering for customers.”

The company offers Brrr polyester and Brrr nylon yarns, as well as fabrics blended with cotton, wool, nylon and other materials.
