CIFA meeting held virtually

A meeting between Confederation of International Footwear Associations (CIFA) members was held virtually in late February, with particularly strong representation from bodies within Greater China, South and Southeast Asia, as well as elsewhere. 

Vice president of the Hong Kong Footwear Association, William Wong, presided over the meeting, which included speeches on various local industry developments, successes and challenges by prominent individuals such as China Leather Industry Association chairman, Li Yuzhong, and others. 

Regional opportunities presented by the RCEP agreement was a significant topic of conversation, Chinese media reported. It was also decided that the next International Footwear Design Competition will be held in Guangzhou this coming May.
