WSA’s technical editor chairs Performance Days panel
WSA’s technical editor, Sophie Bramel, will host a panel at Performance Days textiles fair in Germany on April 27 on the theme ‘Saving carbon through thoughtful design’.

As part of this year’s hybrid concept, the talk will also be available online, and will start at 1.45 CEST.

Joining her will be Anne Prahl, an independent research, trend and design consultant; Markus Hefter from Polygiene; Giovanni Henssen from Fibrant; and freelance designer Thomas Håkansson.

All panels and talks will revolve around this year’s topic, The Journey to Carbon Neutrality.

Journalist and photographer Maren Krings will discuss the potential of hemp, which sports and fashion brands are increasing selecting to address sustainability credentials in their materials portfolios.

Kelly Sheridan from the Microfibre Consortium will introduce its Microfibre 2030 Roadmap: Engagement of Textile Suppliers in Mitigating Fibre Fragmentation and Loss, and Charles Ross from the UK’s Royal College of Art will host a panel on Transparency and the Customer Role in Closing the Loop of Circularity.

The show takes place on April 27 and 28 at Messe München, Munich.
