Alpine helps female workers with digital wages
Alexandria-based manufacturer Alex Apparels, owned by the Alpine Creations group in United Arab Emirates, has elected to roll out non-profit BSR’s Herfinance digital wages programme among its female workforce in Egypt.
The work-based training scheme, which aims to increase financial awareness and inclusion, is specially designed to empower low-income women working in global supply chains.
A spokesperson for BSR described Alex Apparels’ involvement in the project as crucial to establishing a peer-led network of educators around the benefits of wage digitalisation in the region.
Alpine’s clients include Under Armour, The North Face, Sweaty Betty and Peloton.
