Vancouver-based athletic apparel and footwear brand Lululemon has named Sarah Clark its senior vice-president for the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) region, effective this month.

Ms Clark replaces Gareth Pope, who has led the brand’s APAC (Asia-Pacific) business from Hong Kong since last September. She will oversee a team of 900-plus employees, located across EMEA, from London.

A non-executive board member at carmaker Morgan Motor Company, Ms Clark has previously served in senior leadership roles at ethical childrenswear brand Frugi, furniture company Oka and cycling apparel retailer Rapha.

Lululemon entered the Spanish market with a local-language website and stores in both Madrid and Barcelona earlier this year, expanding its European footprint for the first time since 2019. The company also recently announced 29% growth to its net revenues for the second quarter, reaching $1.9 billion, including a 28% rise in North America and a 35% increase across international markets.

As part of its Power of Three x2 growth strategy, Lululemon intends to double its net revenue from 2021 ($6.25 billion) to achieve $12.5 billion by 2026. This includes doubling men’s and direct-to-consumer net revenues over the period, as well as quadrupling international net revenue relative to last year.

Executive vice-president for international markets, André Maestrini, commented that he believed Ms Clark’s “experience and vision” will enable her to help the brand deliver on its international revenue goals.

In late September, Lululemon revealed that it will launch a flexible at-home or on-the-go exercise platform, Lululemon Studio, on October 5. The service will include both on-demand and live-streamed fitness classes, over 10,000 of which will be accessible to members via integrated Mirror and app subscription technology.
