Moncler customisation launch leans towards Japan

12/10/2022

Luxury outerwear specialist brand Moncler, based in Milan, has launched digital personalisation service Moncler by Me for online store members across Japan, South Korea, Canada, the US and Europe (including the UK), as well as in five physical boutiques, two of which are located in Japanese cities.

Visitors are invited to customise two "exclusive" jackets using three-dimensional configuration technology that allows for 360-degree visibility of their designs on Moncler's official website. Colourways are grouped thematically, with a special “anniversary palette” also offered in celebration of the 70 years that have passed since the brand’s founding in the Alpine town of Monestier-de-Clermont, France, in 1952.

Additional background motifs, a terrain theme and an animal print, are exclusive to in-store customers.

More localised personalisation is available on the chest, sleeves and back, with symbols from hearts to stars and snowflakes as options, along with different font variations for text. Users both virtual and in-store can save their designs to a website-enabled wishlist, before logging into a members-only area of the site to complete checkout.

Participating offline boutiques include Moncler’s Paris Champs-Élysées, Milano Montenapoleone, New York Soho, Tokyo Ginza and Osaka Namba stores.
