Cult fashion favourite Ganni moves into sportswear
Danish fashion brand Ganni has launched Ganni Sport, a permanent sublabel it is calling “responsible” activewear, owing to the use of majority recycled polyester and nylon fibres throughout.

The initial line-up, complete with its own logo, comprises a tracksuit jacket, sheer-skirted drawstring midi dress, reversible puffer vest, ultra-high-waist leggings and loose-fit tracksuit pants, plus various sports bra, t-shirt, top and shorts styles in mesh, jersey, jacquard, “light tech” and microfibre constructions, the latter incorporated for its cooling properties.

Pops of lime green, butter yellow and all-over leopard prints brighten up what is otherwise a largely black and beige, interchangeable athletic leisurewear collection, made for all-day mixing and matching.

Commenting on what inspired her to begin work on Ganni Sport, main line creative director Ditte Reffstrup said: “Our lifestyle in Copenhagen is pretty active, whether that means cycling across town, going to the gym, doing yoga or taking long walks.

“I really wanted to create something that fits the many different ways we incorporate movement into our lives.”
