3M gears up for PV Paris showcase

Materials developer 3M’s booth at fashion trade show Première Vision (PV) in Paris next month will display technical jackets by Chinese designer Rico Lee, each variously made with insulation from its Thinsulate range, which includes the partly recycled Flowable Featherless, Xerogel and Type EP technologies.

Founded in 2013, Rico Lee became the first-ever Chinese brand to win an ISPO Brandnew award at the fair’s Munich edition in 2016.

Global portfolio director for 3M Thinsulate, Melissa Blakely, said of its insulation offer: “3M continuously innovates Thinsulate products that not only deliver performance in terms of warmth and durability, but also adapt to a variety of outerwear manufacturing applications for design versatility. We provide a range of recycled content options that are certified by Bluesign, Oeko-Tex and the Global Recycled Standard.”

The developer, based in Minnesota, will share stand 6M23 inside the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition centre over February 7-9 with Sunfeng Textile, a producer of woven and knitted fabrics for the outdoor and activewear markets from Suzhou. The latter will be showing its latest performance textiles, including Nygeo and AirShift.
