Bosideng continues stride with double-digit advance
Chinese outerwear specialist company Bosideng, listed in Hong Kong, delivered year-on-year growth of 14.1% across all brands for the six months ended September 30, achieving around $880 million (¥6.2 billion) in revenue, the business has revealed.

Back in June, Bosideng posted full-year revenues of roughly $2.4 billion or ¥16.2 billion, also registering its largest-ever profit.

Regarding the most recent reporting period, the group said that down clothing was again its biggest revenue contributor, representing 62.4% or $555.2 million (¥3.9 billion) of the total. Bosideng, which also operates in the men’s and ladieswear markets, has three core down-devoted apparel brands, including premium-priced flagship label Bosideng, Snow Flying and Bengen. The banner Bosideng brand accounts for 91.3% of its down division.

Out of the company’s approximately 3,670 retail locations dedicated to down fashion in mainland China, 1,223 – the highest number of stores it has in a single region – were to be found in the east of the country by September’s end. Across the board, 71.1% of its branded down clothing stores were concentrated in third-tier cities or below.

Shanghai-based brand Bosideng inaugurated its first experiential concept store in the city in early October, followed by the reopening of its London flagship after a five-year absence only days later.
