South Korean athletic footwear business Pro-Specs, based in Seoul, has released an updated take on its Enerjet Plus performance running shoe called the Enerjet Plus V2.

The second-generation trainer features a carbon plate for improved propulsion and elasticity and incorporates a rubber compound from tire developer Hankook in the outsole for extra grippiness, according to the company.

Use of Pro-Specs’ own Airy Tech material, typically “lighter” than conventional ethylene-vinyl acetate or EVA, in both the midsole and upper applications has resulted in a shoe that weighs only 217 grams (based on a 240-millimetre shoe). Touches of reflective material also make the trainers suitable for night runs.
