Hyosung strengthens global marketing team
Two new senior appointments from South Korean fibre developer Hyosung have brought outdoor and textile industry marketers Laura Nilo and Christiane Rauch (pictured) under the company’s aegis.
Ms Nilo will manage Hyosung’s West Coast marketing from Oregon, whereas Germany-based Ms Rauch will take up the role of senior consultant for northern Europe, focused on the business’ stretch-fibre division.
Her past clients include BASF, Advansa, NatureWorks, Nilit and Hyosung’s creora elastane brand. The former’s experience, meanwhile, includes stints at Smartwool, La Sportiva, Black Diamond and Leave No Trace.
Global marketing director for textiles, Simon Whitmarsh-Knight, described the pair as “fantastic additions” to the team. “Their respective understanding of the global value chain, brand, retail and consumer needs will help us further our global leading position as a complete textile solution provider,” he said.
Hyosung is next due to exhibit at Kingpins Show in Amsterdam between October 18 and 19, followed by the Portland edition of Functional Fabric Fair over November 1-2.
