Hyosung, Tefron and Santoni ready ‘to set new standards’ at ISPO Munich
A co-created product designed “to set new standards in sustainable activewear and seamless clothing” is to be presented by Hyosung, Tefron and Santoni at sports show ISPO Munich over November 28-30.
Israel-based seamless knitwear producer Tefron’s business director, Susie Barak, described its work alongside Lonati-owned Italian machinery supplier Santoni and Seoul-based fibre manufacturer Hyosung as “a winning combination”.
Santoni will simultaneously introduce its debut capsule of seamless-knit fabrics made with Hyosung’s creora bio-based yarn at its own booth, in addition to new machine Santoni SM8-Top2ST, developed for sculpted terry knits and “upgraded seamless designs”.
It will also jointly exhibit a selection of terry knits with a range of padding effects for “higher protection and comfort” with creora bio-based elastane at Hyosung’s booth.
“By integrating Tefron's global one-stop shop expertise in seamless knitting with Hyosung creora bio-based, [our] partnership paves the way for innovative designs and styles that were previously challenging to achieve with traditional materials and manufacturing techniques,” Ms Barak continued.
“The benefits of our collaboration are numerous and range from traceable, certified fibres, comfort and performance to innovative design and versatility," added Hyosung's global marketing director for textiles, Simon Whitmarsh-Knight.
