CETI backs up Cycora claim
The European Centre for Innovative Textiles (CETI) has confirmed that the Cycora product that Ambercycle produces is of similar quality to that of virgin polyester.
Los Angeles-based Ambercycle uses molecular regeneration technology to develop Cycora from end-of-life textiles polyester yarns for use in new garments.
Tests at CETI, which hosts advanced melt spinning technology of its own at its research centre in northern France, have confirmed Ambercycle’s claim that Cycora meets the spinnability standards of virgin polyester and outperforms other recycled materials.
“We were pleased to collaborate with Ambercycle in support of our mission to promote and accelerate innovation and sustainability in the textile industry,” said CETI’s circular economy manager, Manisha Mariva. “Our testing showed that Cycora performed as well as a virgin alternative and stands out from other recycled textiles for its performance and versatility.”
