The parent group of Arc’teryx, Wilson, Salomon, Peak Performance and other brands, Helsinki-based group Amer Sports, has reported revenues of just under $2.2 billion for the first six months of 2024.

Sales were flat in the Americas and up by 1% in Europe, but there was substantial growth for the group in Asia. Revenues in China increased by 52% year on year to reach $599 million. Growth in the rest of Asia was 39%, with revenues reaching $210 million.

Chinese group Anta Sports became the controlling shareholder of Amer Sports in 2019.

Amer said technical apparel had contributed $918 million towards total revenues over the six-month period, an increase of 39% year on year. Its outdoor performance category contributed $704 million, up by 8%. The group’s third main category, ball and racket sports, brought in $555 million, which represented a decline of 7% compared to the first six months of last year.

Chief executive, James Zheng, commented: “I am pleased by our financial and operational performance, led by our flagship brand, Arc'teryx. We exceeded our own high expectations on all key financial metrics, positioning us to deliver another strong year in 2024.”
