Trail running brands team up for cold weather range
Two trail running specialists, Canadian Norda and British Soar have collaborated on a capsule collection of performance clothing for trail runners. Founded in 2020, Norda created what it said is the first seamless trail running shoe made from a bio-based version of Dyneema. Soar, founded in Hackney, London, by designer and runner Tim Soar, develops premium trail running clothing.

The seven-piece norda x SOAR collection is designed for cold weather and features running tights and shorts, a windbreaker and a merino wool top and a merino/silk blend beanie, for men and women. The colourways are inspired by “sunlight leaking through trees”, or “komorebi” in Japanese. A bright yellow shade is combined with taupes and blacks to evoke sunlight streaming through a dense forest, the two brands said.

“Norda’s strategy from inception has been to push the boundaries of technology, innovation and craftsmanship, and this extends to our collaborations. We choose to only work with the finest craftspeople in their respective space and we place SOAR Running in high regard as makers of the finest running apparel. Together we executed this new collection to be the finest trail running apparel,” commented norda co-founder Nick Martire.

“The apparel developed for this collection utilises unique and highly technical fabrics alongside wool and silk. The garments, like all SOAR garments, are designed to work with the body in motion – something that is easy to say but hard to achieve. However, the intention is simple, to allow trail runners to explore their surroundings in comfort and style,” added Tim Soar, founder of SOAR Running.
